Ijeoma Ugwu is a Registered Public Health Nutritionist with extensive expertise in neurodivergent health, gut-brain nutrition, and culturally tailored dietary strategies. With a strong academic foundation—holding master’s degrees in public health, Human Nutrition & Dietetics, and Food Technology—she brings over a decade of interdisciplinary experience to her work in both clinical and community settings.

Ijeoma is the Founder and Lead Nutritionist at Brainfoods for Guts, a practice supporting children and adults with autism, food allergies, and digestive disorders through personalised nutrition interventions. She also serves as Corporate Nutritionist with Integrated Healthcare Professionals Ltd and is actively involved in gluten-free product innovation at Albertos Bakery.

Her work spans international seminars, public health projects, and policy-informing consultations. As a dynamic speaker, lecturer, and researcher, Ijeoma integrates evidencebased science with lived experience, particularly in her advocacy for inclusive nutrition and disability justice.

She is the force behind the “Walk Awake Autism” initiative, a grassroots campaign fostering awareness and inclusion for neurodivergent individuals across communities. A mother and practitioner, Ijeoma is driven by a deep commitment to improving lives through the power of food, empathy, and equity.
