Oluyemi Adewusi

Oluyemi Adewusi is a public policy researcher, management consultant and business strategist. Over the last 20 years, Yemi has worked in the NGO, Media, Telecoms, Power and Renewable energy sectors in three emerging economies of Nigeria, Ghana and Benin Republic. Across these sectors, he was responsible for portfolios that cover Business Strategy, Sales, Market Penetration, Customer Experience and Project Management.

As the Payment Channels Manager in Nigeria’s largest electricity distribution company, his work on Franchising in the sector became a reference for the regulator’s template on Franchising; and as Head of Utilities in a renewable energy start-up, he was dedicated to providing energy access to underserved areas of Nigeria and collaborating with State Governments and local stakeholders to identify clusters for off-grid electrification and energy access.

He is passionate about technology adoption by MSMEs and in the last 10 years, has trained over 800 small business owners on digital technology adoption for business efficiency. He provides business advisory services to start-ups and businesses. He has also provided consulting services to international consulting firms such as Alphasights, Bain & Company, Dialectica and Guidepoint.He is also a Carnegie Corporation of New York/Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) Ph.D Scholar in Public Policy at the University of Ibadan.
